Moving home
It’s finally happend and has felt like a case of, ‘Let my people go!’ My family and I are moving home this week and it’s been hectic, but my family have rallied around and have been great! God has been and is so good!
My husband and the children did a lot of the clearing and packing as I’ve been working and have been experiencing lower back pain – four labour’s no doubt!
However, the point I’d like to make is how much closer my husband and I have become working together towards a common goal. There was a time it wasn’t like that we both had life plans and neither wanted to budge; but I eventually saw with the help of a family friend that fitting into my husband’s plans was not necessarily a bad thing.
Our friend was right as I have not only fitted into his plans for our family, but I am happily following mine with no resistance at all from my husband.
Marriage is a mixture of many things and the fairy tale existence we were led to believe does not exist. Love brings a couple together, but it’s sheer commitment and compromise that will keep them together.
