Developing Godly Work Ethics

This is not just something our grandparents and possibly our parents had. It is something anyone who calls themselves a believer in Jesus Christ should have.

Whether you know it or not, the way and manner in which you approach your work/job reveals the kind of person you are and is a testament to your Christian faith.

If you want to develop Godly Work Ethics here are some scriptural (Amplified version) basics:

Proverbs 18:9 – “He who is loose and slack in his work is brother to him who is a destroyer and [a]he who does not use his endeavors to heal himself is brother to him who commits suicide.”

Proverbs 6:6 –“Go to the ant, you sluggard; consider her ways and be wise!”

Proverbs 11:18 – “The wicked man earns deceitful wages, but he who sows righteousness (moral and spiritual rectitude in every area and relation) shall have a sure reward [permanent and satisfying.”

Proverbs 10:4 – “He becomes poor who works with a slack and idle hand, but the hand of the diligent makes rich.”

Proverbs 27:18 – “Whoever tends the fig tree shall eat its fruit; so he who patiently and faithfully guards and heeds his master shall be honored.”

Proverbs 22:29 “He who has a bountiful eye shall be blessed, for he gives of his bread to the poor.”

Besides if you want to enjoy financial freedom in these times, you’ll do well to develop the Godly work ethic.
